Chiropractic X-ray systems built with the profession, not adapted to it

Chiropractic X-ray systems are not simply general radiography units placed into a clinic. When done properly, they are the result of years of clinical understanding, engineering refinement, and close collaboration with the profession itself.

At Medic Cloud, our journey into chiropractic-specific X-ray systems began in 2010 through a strategic partnership with DRGEM. The objective was clear from day one: design and deliver an X-ray system purpose-built for chiropractic clinics — not compromised, not over-engineered, and not priced beyond reach.

A 15-year journey of refinement and collaboration

From the outset, we worked directly with DRGEM’s R&D teams to shape a system that met the real-world needs of chiropractors. This included:

  • Mechanical reliability for high-throughput clinics
  • Consistent image quality for skeletal and spinal studies
  • Software workflows aligned to chiropractic use cases
  • Long-term serviceability and parts availability
  • Cost structures that made ownership viable for independent clinics.

Rather than adapting hospital-grade systems or cutting features to hit price points, the focus was on achieving a like-for-like comparison with any competing product in the market — without inflating costs or sacrificing quality.

That balance is what defines our chiropractic systems today.

Adopted by the profession at scale

The result of this approach is reflected in real-world adoption.

Based on our internal data and market exposure:

  • Over 80% of newly established chiropractic clinics purchase and install our systems
  • Approximately 70% of chiropractic clinics across Australia are operating DRGEM X-ray systems supplied by Medic Cloud
  • Our systems are used by many of the largest chiropractic groups in Australia and New Zealand.

This level of adoption is not driven by marketing claims. It is driven by confidence, consistency, and outcomes.

Supporting chiropractic education

Our commitment to the profession extends beyond commercial supply.

Through long-standing support from the chiropractic community, Medic Cloud was able to supply four brand-new DRGEM X-ray systems to the Macquarie University School of Chiropractic.

This ensured that future chiropractors are trained on modern, clinically relevant imaging systems that reflect what they will encounter in real practice — not outdated or improvised equipment.

Solving real pain points without passing on cost

One of the defining features of our partnership with DRGEM is agility.

We actively attend chiropractic seminars, conferences, and industry events to listen — not sell. Pain points raised by the profession are fed directly back into product development.

A clear example is the move from three-phase to single-phase X-ray systems.

Traditionally, higher-output systems required three-phase power, increasing installation complexity and cost. Working with DRGEM, we engineered systems that:

  • Operate on single-phase power
  • Maintain equivalent output performance
  • Reduce electrical upgrade requirements
  • Lower overall installation costs.

Another key advancement was the introduction of high-sensitivity DR panels, allowing:

  • Lower exposure factors
  • Reduced patient dose
  • Improved image consistency
  • Faster workflows.

Importantly, these enhancements were implemented without passing additional costs on to clinics.

Chiropractic X-ray and software solutions

Chiropractic X-ray and software solutions.

An all-inclusive chiropractic imaging solution

Our chiropractic X-ray systems are not sold as isolated pieces of hardware. They are delivered as part of an end-to-end solution that considers:

  • Clinic layout and room design
  • Radiation compliance and licensing
  • Power and infrastructure constraints
  • Workflow efficiency
  • Long-term service and support.

Every decision is guided by one principle: enable chiropractors to deliver optimal patient care without unnecessary financial strain.

Honest advice, even when the answer is “Not yet”

We will be upfront.

Not every clinic is ready for an X-ray system, and we are not afraid to say so.

Our role is not to push equipment. It is to assess whether an X-ray system makes sense for your clinic at your current stage. We understand the numbers, the utilisation thresholds, and the financial realities of running a chiropractic practice.

If an X-ray system is not yet a feasible value proposition, we will tell you and guide you on what your next steps should be instead.

Burning out a clinic financially helps no one.

Our position

We are not claiming to be “the best”.

What we are saying is this our:

  • Passion for chiropractic shaped these systems
  • Partnership with DRGEM allowed us to refine them continuously
  • Scale and experience let us keep them cost-effective
  • Honesty ensures clinics make the right decision at the right time.

That combination is why chiropractors across Australia and New Zealand continue to trust Medic Cloud with their imaging.

Final takeaway

A chiropractic X-ray system should be:

  • Purpose-built
  • Clinically aligned
  • Financially sensible
  • Technically robust
  • Supported long-term.

That is exactly what we set out to achieve in 2010 and exactly what we continue to deliver today.

Speak to us if you are considering an X-ray system for your clinic. You will get an unfiltered, professional answer, even if that answer is to wait.

That honesty is part of the system.
