What is this FAQ about?

A quick veterinary (VET) X-ray software training guide on how to use the VetAxis VET software.


How do I register an animal on VetAxis?

1. Select animal species and body parts.
2. Add the body parts to ‘Selected site’.
3. Enter necessary information about the animal
4. Click the ‘Register check’ button to enter X-ray interface.

How do I X-ray an animal?

1. Adjust the exposure parameters as required for the animal body parts.
2. Click the ‘Start shoot’ button.
3. Follow onscreen prompts to prepare X-ray.
4. Click the ‘Completed’ button to leave the interface.

Navigate to an existing X-ray record

In the ‘Checked list’ tab you can search an X-ray record using the date feature on the left of screen and then select the record on the right of screen.

Can I view and manipulate the X-ray?

Yes. Once you click in to an X-ray record, you can use the tools in the right hand panel to view, annotate, measure and edit the X-ray images. This includes saving the X-ray images and a .PNG format.

How do I export images directly in to a report?

Yes. Using the crop tool you can embed X-ray images in to the software report feature. This report can be exported as a PDF or printed directly from the software. Alternatively you can save the images and embed them in to reporting software of your choice.

Can I sharpen or soften the X-ray image?

Yes. Using the ‘Image mode’ tool (bottom right hand corner of the image screen) you can change the image to normal, soft and sharp modes.
