VetAxis has landed!

Medic Cloud proudly showcases its latest innovation, the VetAxis veterinary x-ray system, at Vet Expo 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 3 and 4 September. As a leading provider of veterinary imaging solutions in Australia, Medic Cloud attracts strong interest at Booth C15 from veterinarians, clinic owners, and industry professionals.

VetAxis delivers advanced imaging technology tailored to the needs of modern veterinary practices. Developed in partnership with DRGEM, the system includes a built-in generator, touch console, and RADMAX GUI. These features work together to streamline workflow, enhance image quality, and simplify operation. The system also features Anatomic Programming Radiography (APR), which guides users through exposure settings based on body thickness and anatomy. This function supports consistent results and reduces training time for new staff.

VetAxis sets a new standard in veterinary x-ray systems

VetAxis supports both 2-way and 4-way tabletop movement, allowing precise patient positioning. Operators use a foot switch for hands-free control, which improves safety and efficiency. The collimator lamp and laser also activate via foot switch, helping reduce setup time and improve accuracy.

Clinics choose from tabletop sizes ranging from 1,200mm to 2,000mm, making VetAxis suitable for a variety of practice layouts. Its compact design fits easily into smaller clinics, while the built-in PC and touch monitor with AcquiDR software provide real-time image processing and review. This integration removes the need for external workstations and keeps the workspace clean and efficient.

The system uses high-frequency generators with outputs from 20kW to 40kW and supports up to 500mA. This ensures consistent, high-quality imaging across a wide range of patient sizes and anatomical regions. Clinics select X-ray tubes from DRGEM or Canon, with focal spot sizes from 0.6mm to 2.0mm and heat capacities up to 200kHU. These features allow extended imaging sessions without overheating.

Safety, flexibility, and customisation built in

VetAxis includes the DXC-RML collimator, which features an LED lamp and manual control with a 30-second timer. It provides a rectangular field shape up to 43x43cm at 100cm SID. Built-in filtration and low leakage radiation meet safety standards while delivering clear images.

Medic Cloud offers customisation options to suit different clinic workflows. Clinics add cassette trays, compression belts, removable grids, and caster wheels. Whether working with small animals, exotic pets, or larger breeds, VetAxis adapts to the clinic’s needs.

At Vet Expo, Medic Cloud provides live demonstrations and expert consultations. Visitors explore the system’s interface and experience its speed and clarity firsthand. Feedback from veterinarians and clinic managers highlights the system’s ease of use, compact design, and clinical versatility.
